Research Interests

My educational background could reflect the flows of my research interests from natural to social science.
Understanding natural ecosystem helps enhance the understanding of the relationship between human society and its sequence onto the natural system that humans are part of. Thus my research cannot but be interdisciplinary.

I like to be brave in terms of producing "creative idea" based on the knowledge that I've been taught of. I should be more than a sum of piece of knowledge, which is more than a mimics of something existing. You may find this kind of creative ideas from the following subjects:

• Adaptive management: C. S. Hollings, Walters and many others developed the interactive management for healthy ecosystem.
• Coevolution: don't you think we are coevolving with other species? The coevolutionary perspective comes from the story of mutual relationship between pesticides and butterfly. Now it helps understand human societal relationship with ecosystem.
• Policy process is the process of policy building from agenda setting through evalution, but most of my research intersts in this field is focusing on both agenda setting and implementation process which may reflect well about challenges and struggles.
• Ecological Economics: research area by a new joint group of economists and biophysists who lead to open the window of opportunity for better world.
• Sustainable society could be our base of idea as well as the goal of society.
